Kevin Hart’s Parody of ‘Inside The NBA’ Cast Is Hilarious

Have you seen the new commercial airing during the NBA Playoffs? It features Kevin Hart impersonating the entire cast of Inside The NBA, and it’s freaking hysterical. Barkley starts off by stating an obvious fact, “First of all, snake bites are dangerous,” Shaq starts singing “Ain’t no woman like the one I got” and gets a bunch of blank stares, Kenny runs over to the board, and then Barkley falls asleep on air. Perfection.

Last night, Dave Chappelle sat down for his first interview on Late Show With David Letterman in ten years, and naturally, Letterman asked him the question that we’ve all been dying to know – Why did he walk away from his wildly successful Chappelle’s Show on Comedy Central and the $50 million payday?

Chappelle’s response: “Listen, here it is…Technically, I never quit. I’m seven years late for work.”

Check out the whole interview above, as it’s really funny and entertaining. Here’s hoping that Chappelle returns to TV soon, as it’s clear he hasn’t lost his comedic touch.

Nick Offerman: American Ham

Who doesn’t love Nick Offerman? One of America’s greatest treasures, he has imparted great wisdom to us courtesy of his Parks and Rec alter-ego Ron Swanson. He’s got a sweet stache, he’s into woodworking, and he’s a real man’s man. And now he’s premiering his new comedy special Nick Offerman: American Ham next Friday, December 12 at 12:01am PST on Netflix.

Nick’s master class in life, love, woodworking, meat eating and being a man, American Ham was taped last March at the legendary Town Hall theater in New York. In the show, Nick offers his own 10 tips for prosperity, as told through scripted vignettes (that include appearances by wife Megan Mullally), humorous stories and his own original songs.

“Hanky Song” is a funny song making fun of the uses of a handkerchief:

In true Nick fashion, here’s how he describes American Ham, proving yet again he is a man of many talents:

“Fed up with abject failure? Lack of meat, cash, or fornication got you down? Refuel yourself with Nick Offerman’s 10 tips for prosperity in his chuckle-licious humor program, American Ham. Mediocre songs, ribald japes, and minor nudity guaranteed.”

But perhaps the best thing about this news is how Offerman chose to announce his Netflix debut, putting his woodworking skills to the test to announce the news with the following Tweet:

I’m sure we’re in for a real treat here, and next Friday can’t get here soon enough!

The Funniest Moments From “Curb Your Enthusiasm”

Curb Your Enthusiasm

Larry David is easily one of the most successful comedians in the world. Over the years, he’s received twelve Emmy Award nominations, along with a Laurel Award for TV Writing Achievement from The Writer’s Guild of America. And according to Celebrity Networth, he’s ranked as the fourth richest living comedian.

As a standup comic in the 1980s, Larry was considered to be more of a comedian’s comedian than a popular performer. Even when he co-created Seinfeld in 1989, he managed to stay out of the spotlight – Even though the character George Costanza was based off of his personality and antics!

However, once Curb Your Enthusiasm hit HBO in 2000, Larry David took center stage with his idiosyncratic personality as a well-intentioned curmudgeon. The show teases out comedy from the mundane aspects of everyday life and the conventional propriety of social interactions.

Larry David is currently performing in a Broadway show that he wrote called Fish In The Dark. While this may bring some solace to fans during the hiatus and possibly end of the show Curb Your Enthusiasm, for all you super fans out there, let’s take a look at some of the most hilarious moments from the show:

Larry Orders Coffee

Larry David Orders Coffee

This scene in season two reveals how nonchalant Larry is when he orders his coffee. As he speaks with the barista, he says he’ll have one of the vanilla things, a latte or capa something, and that he really doesn’t care. This thought has crossed most men’s minds when ordering from a fancy coffee shop, which is why it’s so funny.

The Sorry Window

The sorry window scene from season eight showcases Larry David’s humor in a nutshell. When his girlfriend tells him that her father had passed away 2 years ago, Larry responds with a “huh” and a slight head nod. Offended, she asks Larry why he didn’t have more to say and why he didn’t offer his condolences. Larry calmly replies, “With all due respect, don’t you think the ‘sorry window’ is closed on that one? Two years and you’re still getting sorries? I don’t think so. That’s a long time for sorries.” She tells him she wasn’t aware of a “sorry window” and David finishes by saying, “That’s like saying Happy New Year in October.”

The Palestinian Chicken

In the Palestinian chicken episode, Larry finds himself in a burgeoning relationship with a Palestinian woman who works at a Palestinian restaurant that’s opening across the street from the Jewish Goldblatt’s deli. He begins to struggle with his divided loyalties between his libido and his Jewish identity. The episode comes to a head when Larry arrives at a protest in front of Goldblatt’s Deli where Larry is left in the middle of the road weighing his decision as the theme music kicks in.

The Chef With Tourette’s

In the TV Documentary Ricky Gervais Meets Larry David, Ricky says that this moment in “Opening Night” is one of his favorites — and for good reason. It’s revealed halfway through the episode that the world-class French chef Larry has hired to run the restaurant has Tourette’s Syndrome. Then, with a full house during the restaurant’s opening night, the chef blurts out a few profanities, which causes the entire restaurant to fall into an awkward silence. Larry reflects back to a moment when he felt he wanted to help someone in need and decides to yell out even more egregious language. This starts a domino effect of different patrons yelling out expletives, causing the whole room to fill with laughter as the potentially disastrous situation is diffused.

If you haven’t seen an episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm before, you don’t know what you’re missing. Cancel your plans for tonight, fire up HBO On Demand, and prepare to laugh your ass off!

Comedian Mike Capes Shows You How To Sneak Into Any Gym And Work Out For Free

Comedian Mike Capes is back with another hilarious episode of The Hacks Of Life, and this time he shows us how to sneak into any gym and work out for free! And if that’s not enough, he’s also got an ingenious way to “reserve” all of the popular machines you want to use, so that they’re available when you’re ready.

What if you don’t want to go to the gym? Heck, I don’t blame you.. But as he so astutely points out, “Nobody loves going to the gym. But it’s good to stay in shape because of the health benefits. Who am I kidding? It’s so we can have sex with better looking people.”

Hmm.. He makes a valid point. So watch the video and see how you can work out for free:

My New Year’s resolution is to work out.. for FREE!

Dave Chappelle Is Back With An All-New Netflix Comedy Special

Everyone’s favorite funnyman Dave Chappelle is back with another all-new stand-up comedy special called Sticks & Stones, which drops on Netflix on August 26th. For those of you out there keeping count, this makes for his fifth Netflix Original. Can we say ka-ching?!

While I wish that Dave would bring back Chappelle Show, these comedy specials of his are the next best thing. It’s been a year and a half since his last comedy special, and this time around he’s pushing the boundaries, giving his provocative perspective on the tidal wave of celebrity scandals, the opioid crisis, and more — in trademarked Chappelle fashion.

The trailer above doesn’t let on much, showing Dave walking in the desert as Morgan Freeman voices over about the current climate of comedy and Internet culture. “If you say anything, you risk everything.” Ironically, YouTube commenters were more concerned about his long ass shirt than anything else.

Chappelle has been known to “go there”, often taking flack for his comments. And given the Sticks & Stones title, we’re guessing he’s not pulling any punches this time around either.

August 26th can’t get here soon enough!

Joe Rogan Signs Podcast Deal With Spotify For A Reported $100 Million

Joe Rogan - Spotify

The Joe Rogan Experience is one of the most popular podcasts around. For those of you who haven’t tuned in before, it’s a talk show-style podcast that’s anchored by comedian Joe Rogan (remember him from his Fear Factor days?), fearlessly broaching far-ranging topics including neuroscience, sports, comedy, health, infectious disease, and our ever-changing culture—all with a mix of curiosity and humor.

He’s honestly like the Howard Stern of podcasts, with some really great interviews.. like when he convinced Elon Musk to smoke pot on the air. That gaffe received worldwide attention (not to mention priceless memes), and the stunt got Musk into some hot water with the SEC. There is no topic he’ll shy away from, and it’s these types of interviews have cultivated a cult-like following for his podcast.

And now, Joe Rogan’s highly-popular podcast series will be moving exclusively to Spotify, in a multi-year deal worth a reported $100 million, according to WSJ. While Spotify is best known as a music streaming service, they recently started flexing their wallet, acquiring a number of major podcast companies over the past year, most recently Bill Simmons’ The Ringer, a sports and culture site that boasts more than 30 podcasts.

So signing a deal with Rogan makes perfect sense for the streaming giant, as it drives more of his die-hard listeners to their platform. And since it’s being offered free and accessible to all Spotify users, there shouldn’t be any pushback from fans. Rogan took to Instagram yesterday, assuring fans that Spotify “won’t have any creative control over the show” and that “it’s just a licensing deal.” They know well enough not to mess with a good thing.

The Joe Rogan Experience will make its debut on Spotify on September 1, 2020, and the show will become exclusive later this year. You can follow it on Spotify here.
